As a current member of The Public Beta program, I can tell you that the Transcription feature is going to have you doing back flips throughout your studio as it will shave hours off of your dedicated caption time. For those of us still having flashbacks of creating each caption segment line by line in Premiere Pro, we are beyond words and over the moon for every update that Adobe has made for Captions. We can all unanimously agree that these updates and innovative new capabilities have added some real excitement and momentum within the Caption world and Adobe Universe. Selecting a region changes the language and/or content on To Text, Transcription, Caption Updates, Style Files, Dedicated Caption Track. You must have a compatible format such as 608, 708 or Aus OP-47. For example, if you have an SRT in sequence, that cannot be embedded. You will also need those track types in your sequence in order to embed. MXF Op1a Formats can embed CEA-608, CEA-708, and Australian OP-47 (if 25fps). QuickTime embedded export currently only supports embedding CEA-608. Embedded: The option to export as Embedded is available only for pro codecs like MXF OP1a, DNX, and ProRes and requires that the caption track format be set to one of the broadcast standards like CEA-608.There are limitations regarding the type of sidecar you can create from each caption track type. Create Sidecar File: Supported formats are SCC, MCC, XML, STL, SRT, and DFXMP.None: Does not include captions of any type only your video and audio is exported.Open the Captions tab in the export settings and choose any of the export options.
