No word on when this is happening, but I suspect the game will be available on both Steam and the Epic Games store soon. Sega recently announced that Phantasy Star Online 2 will be heading to Japanese PS4’s, sometime in 2016. By the end of 2020 the Western version of PSO2 will almost be almost fully caught up with the Japanese version.Īnother bit of exciting PSO2 news is that the game will be launching outside of the Microsoft store soon. According to the game's wiki: Reincarnation: EPISODE 4 was released in 2016 Heroes: EPISODE 5 was released in 2017 Stars: EPISODE 6 was released in 2019. The Steam release will also let western RPGamers in certain countries outside of North America play the game. These updates aren't exactly new as they've been available in the Japanese version for years, but the Western English version of Phantasy Star Online 2 is catching up quickly to the Japanese version. Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming to Steam next week along with the launch of its Episode 4 story content. ![]() Episode 5 is set to launch in Q3 while episode 6 is slated for Q4. ![]() The game launched with episodes 1-3 and is planning to release episodes 4, 5, and 6 later this year. Sega's Phantasy Star Online 2 (PSO2) officially launched globally in English just a few weeks ago and is already planning several major updates, the first of which is the Episode 4 update which is set to launch sometime in August.
